The third annual Imperial Klans of America-sponsored Nordicfest white power music concert is still taking place despite a number of setbacks. Following a withdrawal of support from Panzerfaust and Resistance Records, the fest has been left with only two bands, Johnny Tatt and SS187 – virtual unknowns in the white power music world. The Outlaw Hammerskins will be hosting a tattoo booth, virtually guaranteeing that the larger Hammerskin Nation will not be in attendance. Speakers include Matt Hale of the WCOTC, Richard Butler of Aryan Nations, Ted Dunn of the SS Action Group, Jeff Schoep of the NSM, and Bradley Jenkins of the Knights Coalition, Realm of Alabama. Unlike the previous two years, Nordicfest 2002 is not charging admission (April 2002). |

PANZERFAUST, RESISTANCE WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM NORDICFEST: White power music heavyweights Resistance Records and Panzerfaust Records have withdrawn their support from the IKA-sponsored Nordicfest, stating that they will not host tables and their bands will not perform. Their withdrawl virtually ensures that this year’s event will be a flop. In a letter to IKA head Ron Edwards, Resistance head Erich Gleibe states, “Although the project was, at one time, a promising and potentially useful endeavor for our racial kindred, we have become increasingly concerned about your personal conduct, the treatment of our bands, and the security problems posed by your staff at this event.” |

Henry Baird, 34, plead guilty to two counts of aggravated assault on May 20th, 2002 in a New Jersey Superior Court. Baird and Brian Neilsen, 24, are accused of breaking into the apartment of Donald and Kara Butler and beating them with baseball bats. Baird admitted to beating Donald Butler, who is black, in an effort to intimidate him because of his race. Baird will serve at least 14 years in prison before he is up for parole but will not be charged under the state’s hate crimes statute pursuant to a plea agreement. According to Burlington Country prosecutors, both Neilsen and Baird are members of an unnamed white supremacist organization. Neilsen is facing charges of burglary, possession of unlawful weapons, and making terroristic threats. His trial date has not been set (Philadelphia Enquirer, May 21). |
