Fugitive German Neo-Nazi Files For Asylum With Help From National Alliance |

Hendrik Möbus, arrested on August 28, 2000, has filed for political asylum with the Immigration and naturalization Service. Federal authorities had initially planned to extradite Möbus to Germany pursuant to a treaty signed with that country in 1981, but instead dropped their case and handed him over to INS officials. He is being charged with overstaying his visa. The National Alliance has formed the Committee to Free Hendrik Möbus and is soliciting funds to help pay for his legal expenses.
