In the summer of 2000, the neo-Nazi group the National Alliance gained control of the black metal label Cymophane. The group already controlled Resistance Records, the leading distributor of so-called white power music in the United States. By purchasing Cymophane, the National Alliance was attempting to move into the emerging National Socialist Black Metal (nsbm) scene. Shortly thereafter, the National Alliance's efforts to sell Cymophane's "A Tribute to Burzum" CD through a large independent distributor were thwarted by the Center for New Community.

Nearly two years later, the National Alliance has created a new facade, and is again trying to release the "Tribute to Burzum" disc, this time under the guise of Unholy Records.

Unholy Records lists a Marlinton, WV address on its website. That P.O. Box was previously used by Cymophane's manager Erich Gleibe (the editor of Resistance Magazine). The Unholy Records website is registered to the same address as the National Alliance in Keller, TX. That address is also used by the webmaster for Resistance Records.

Since their acquisition of Resistance in the summer of 1999, the National Alliance has created or purchased the following record labels to use as fronts: Cymophane, Johnny Rebel, Condor Legion Ordnance, WhitePowerRecords.com, and now Unholy Records. They are also the exclusive distributor of Vinland Records, the American division of Nordland Records.

If any store, distributor, or pressing company is contacted by Unholy Records, Cymophane Records, Ancestral Research Records, or AR Records, please contact the Turn It Down Campaign immediately.
